You’re concerned about the ingredients you use on your skin; we get that, that's why we do not use 'formulations' in our products. Aside from the pure, therapeutic, essential oils sourced from our certified partner supplier(s), we create our own botanical infusions to maintain purity. Every ingredient is a 'single' ingredient. This ensures that our ingredients do not include flowing agents (often found in dried plant material); preservatives and stabilizers (often found in shelf stable infusions).
With so many people suffering from distressing skin conditions, it is our utmost desire to remain transparent, allowing you to make an informed decision concerning the ingredients you put on your skin.
All ingredients used in our products are derived from pure plant sources. Our promise to you is that there NO synthetic ingredients, NO synthetic fragrance, NO synthetic colorants, NO synthetic preservatives and NO artificial stabilizers in our products. All of the oils and butters used in our soaps and body butters are extracted from the kernels, fruits, seeds and nuts of plants sourced from all over the world. We then choose premium, therapeutic essential oils, from carefully chosen plants, that nurture your skin.
We operate with an unwavering commitment to offer the highest quality products. In keeping with our desire for excellence and commitment to quality, our suppliers are ISO 9001 certified and are certified Organic, Kosher and Vegan.
In nature, essential oils play an important role in the protection of plants. Essential oils contain a wide variety of properties that are capable of inhibiting or slowing the growth of bacteria. We have selected for our brands, those essential oils that possess such beneficial qualities to support a holistic approach to skin health.
True essential oils are extracted, often by steam distillation, from the leaves, bark and flowers of plants, capturing the beneficial properties of those plants and delivering those benefits to you! Essential oils are not the same as fragrance oils.
Fragrance oils (also listed as perfume, parfum, essential oil blend) are synthetically derived formulations. The UGLY TRUTH is that “fragrance” represents an unidentified mixture of ingredients including carcinogens, allergens, respiratory irritants, endocrine disruptors, neurotoxic chemicals and environmental toxicants. These artificial scents can can be found in all kinds of body care and cosmetic products, as well as air fresheners, cleaning materials and laundry detergents.
Research (1) conducted by the Environmental Working Group (EWG) and the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics found an average of 14 chemicals in 17 name brand fragrance products. But, none of these chemicals were actually listed on the label. Why? Because the ingredients in fragrance are protected by Trade Secret laws.
According to the online “Transparency List” put out by the International Fragrance Association, an industry trade group, there at least 3,000 ingredients that could possibly be used to form a product’s scent. Compare that number against our use of a single essential oil that is extracted from the plant itself. Take a look at the CHEMICALS OF CONCERN list, derived from the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, to see just how many fragrance chemicals we’re possibly exposed to every day.
